The roller coaster continues ...

Now back from france and had a great time, meeting up with Duncan & Sara, Andrew & Mary, and being joined after a few days by Garry & Alison, who were camping virgins. The weather was, in the main, pretty good. we arrived to near 40 degree heat, and it made putting up our trailer tent interesting. to say the least. however we were up and running and started to relax. After a few days the virgins arrived, and we promised not to take any video or photos of them putting up the tent, despite plenty of pleas from other friends. We I can say they did a good job, and they seemd to enjoy it, and are even talking about going back next year!
The trip home was great untill reaching Calais, where the ferries were in big trouble due to a broken down ferry. We finally left some 5 hours late, which meant we got home at 4.30am instead of before midnight.
The weekend then went downhill when we had a call to say my Grandad had passed away. He was in hospital, but had only been in a couple of weeks. He was 93 and still lived in his own house and was very independant. Sleep peacefully Grandad.
This means I have to re-schedule the latter part of my ride, as the funeral is 24 September. Therefore I am flying back from Scotland and then going back up to re-start the ride. Thanks to JoeFish and C90Club.co.uk for looking after the bike for me, really appreciate it

Now for those of you who have not yet shared my ride with all your friends or sponsored me, please do. The website is www.wrongwayround.org.uk
